Unicode Block - Block Elements

Block Elements is a collection of graphic characters designed for creating simple visual representations, such as filling or shading areas, drawing partial rectangles, and forming basic charts or progress indicators. These characters include various shades from light to dark, horizontal and vertical bars of different heights and widths, and quadrant shapes that can be combined to create more complex pixelated images. Originally derived from legacy terminal and graphics standards, they are commonly used in text based user interfaces, ASCII art, and terminal applications to simulate block graphics without requiring image files. The set also features the “full block” (a solid square) and the “lower” and “upper” half blocks, which are frequently employed for smooth diagonal line approximations or as placeholders in monospaced environments.
