Unicode Block - Control Pictures
Control Pictures is a set of symbolic glyphs designed to visually represent the otherwise invisible ASCII control characters, such as those for start of text, end of transmission, and bell, by showing their standard two-letter abbreviations inside a small box. These pictographic indicators are used primarily in documentation, debugging tools, and terminal emulators to display non-printing commands in a readable form, with each symbol corresponding to a specific control function, including a blank square for the space character and a special symbol for the delete command. The set also includes a few additional characters like a graphic for the escape sequence, ensuring that every original ASCII control code has a clear, unambiguous visual counterpart for technical communication.
