Version Added - 6.2

6.2 is the version of the Unicode Standard in a character was added, released in January 2012. This version added only a single new character, the Turkish Lira Sign (U+20BA), bringing the total number of assigned graphic and format characters to 110,117. No new blocks or scripts were defined in this release. Despite the minimal character addition, version 6.2 included significant algorithm changes, particularly improved line-breaking, word-breaking, and grapheme cluster behaviors for emoji and pictographic symbols, as well as enhanced handling of regional indicator sequences.
