Bidirectional Class - Pop Directional Isolate

Pop Directional Isolate is a control character that ends a bidirectional isolate scope, reversing the effect of a preceding Pop Directional Formatting or, more commonly, a matching Isolate character like FSI, LRI, or RLI. When encountered, it terminates the isolation of text that was set apart for directional embedding, allowing the surrounding text’s base direction to resume governing the subsequent characters. This ensures that nested or explicitly isolated runs of text, such as quotations or embedded phrases, do not leak their directional influence outward, thereby preserving the intended reading order in mixed-direction contexts. It functions as a closing marker, pairing with an opening isolate to create a balanced container, and its presence is critical for correctly rendering complex scripts where left-to-right and right-to-left text interact, such as Arabic or Hebrew alongside Latin.
