In a bidirectional algorithm, these characters are placed from the rightmost position toward the left, and their presence can affect the ordering of adjacent numbers or Latin text, causing them to reorder accordingly. For example, in a sentence containing both English and Arabic, the Arabic script flows rightward while English continues leftward, with the algorithm determining how the two segments interact at boundaries. This class does not include digits or weak types, which have separate handling, so it exclusively covers letters and symbols with an intrinsic right to left directionality.
