This value applies to most standard text characters, punctuation, symbols, and numerals that are not part of the emoji construction system, such as letters, spaces, or basic math signs. It indicates that the character stands alone and does not participate in emoji formation like skin tone modifiers, hair style selectors, or the zero width joiner. Consequently, these characters cannot be combined to create new emoji or alter an existing emoji’s appearance, and they are not visually treated as emoji components even when surrounded by emoji.
