Indic Syllabic Category - Other

Other is the default assignment for characters that do not fit into any specific syllabic role, such as consonants, vowels, or vowel signs, within Indic scripts. It applies to letters, digits, punctuation, and symbols that are not part of the core akshara formation, including standalone consonants without inherent vowels, non-joining marks, and characters from unrelated script systems. This value indicates that the character has no special positional or phonetic function in shaping a syllable cluster, so it is ignored for complex text layout reordering but still renders normally. For script shaping engines, Other simply means no clause applies, allowing the character to pass through unchanged.
