Line Break - Inseparable

Unicode Version 18.0

Inseparable is a line break class that prevents a line from breaking between two adjacent characters, forcing them to remain together on the same line. This ensures that certain sequences, such as a number followed by its unit of measurement or a leading currency symbol with its amount, stay visually connected and readable. It acts as a stronger bond than a simple space, yet it still allows breaks before or after the entire pair, so the text can flow naturally around the cluster. This behavior is vital for maintaining semantic integrity in typography, preventing awkward splits that would confuse meaning, such as separating a minus sign from the digits it modifies.
