U+10816 "𐠖" Cypriot Syllable Mi is a historical script symbol representing the syllable "mi" in the Cypriot syllabary, a writing system used on the island of Cyprus from approximately the 11th to the 4th centuries BCE to write the Eteocypriot language and, later, the ancient Greek dialect of Cyprus. This syllabary, which consists of around 55 signs for consonant vowel combinations, was deciphered in the 19th century and survives mainly on clay tablets and stone inscriptions. The character specifically encodes the syllabic value for the sound "mi" and belongs to the Unicode block named Cypriot Syllabary, which was added to the standard in version 4.0 in 2003 to support digital representation of this ancient script.
