U+104A1 "𐒡" Osmanya Digit One is a numeric symbol used within the Osmanya script, an alphabetic writing system created in the 1920s by Osman Yusuf Kenadid for the Somali language. This digit represents the number one in that script, which was designed to provide a native alternative to the Latin and Arabic alphabets for writing Somali. Although the Osmanya script and its numerals saw official use in Somalia for a period, they have since been largely replaced by the Latin alphabet, but the digit remains encoded in Unicode under the "Osmanya" block for historical and digital preservation purposes.
