U+2009 " " Thin Space is a typographic whitespace character, five eighths of an em in width, designed to create a subtle but visible separation between elements without the full gap of a standard space. It is commonly used in French typography to punctuate dialogue with guillemets, in mathematical formulas to distinguish operators from operands, and in general text for formatting units, numbers, or initials for a more polished appearance. Unlike a nonbreaking space, it normally allows text to wrap at its position, but it can be combined with other space characters to fine tune visual spacing in digital documents and web content.
