U+203D "‽" Interrobang Unicode Character
Unicode Version 17.0
‽
U+203D "‽" Interrobang is a non-standard but highly expressive punctuation mark that combines the functions of a question mark and an exclamation point into a single glyph, used to convey a surprised, excited, or rhetorical question. It was invented in 1962 by American ad executive Martin K. Speckter to succinctly capture the tone of some, like a query made with emphasis or disbelief. Despite its clever design and usefulness in informal and comic writing, the interrobang remains largely absent from standard keyboards and formal typography, though it persists in certain typefaces and digital communication as a playful or niche alternative to writing "?!" or "!?".
